death mobius build for ab question
Ok so i made a build and it is for ab:
My Character:
Assassin/Elementalist
Level: 20
Critical Strikes: 13 (12+1)
Dagger Mastery: 13 (12+1)
Shadow Arts: 3
Death's Charge (Shadow Arts)
Shadow Step to target foe. If that foe has more Health than you, you are healed for 92.
Energy:5 Cast:0.25 Recharge:30
Golden Phoenix Strike (Dagger Mastery)
If you are not under the effects of an Enchantment, this skill misses. If it hits, Golden Phoenix Strike deals +27 damage.
Energy:5 Cast:0 Recharge:8
Twisting Fangs (Critical Strikes)
Must follow an off-hand attack. If it hits, Twisting Fangs strikes for +19 damage and struck foe suffers from Bleeding and Deep Wound for 18 seconds.
Energy:10 Cast:0 Recharge:15
Moebius Strike [Elite] (Dagger Mastery)
Must follow a Dual Attack. If it hits, Moebius Strike strikes for +32 damage. If you strike a foe whose Health is below 50%, all your other attack skills are recharged.
Energy:5 Cast:0 Recharge:2
Death Blossom (Dagger Mastery)
Must follow an off-hand attack. If it hits, Death Blossom strikes target foe for +42 damage and all adjacent foes take 42 damage.
Energy:5 Cast:0 Recharge:2
Way of Perfection (Shadow Arts)
For 60 seconds, whenever you successfully land a critical hit you gain 16 Health.
Energy:5 Cast:0.25 Recharge:30
Shadow Refuge (Shadow Arts)
For 6 seconds, you gain 6 Health regeneration. When Shadow Refuge ends, you gain 32 Health if you are attacking.
Energy:5 Cast:1 Recharge:8
Dash (Assassin None)
For 3 seconds, you run 50% faster.
Energy:5 Cast:0 Recharge:8
what do you guys think?

not bad, but i think there's at least one improvement you can make:
go A/Mo, change way of perfection and shadow refuge to vigorous spirit and restful breeze. put the shadow attributes into healing.
the recently buffed vigorous spirit and restful breeze are currently too good to pass up. your build does work quite well with them.

shadow refuge is about the worst self heal in the game. only mending can be considered worse.
the only thing it has over restful breeze is that it doesn't end if you use a skill. but then, when you need the self heal, you should seriously consider stop attacking and run.
therefore, restful breeze is better than shadow refuge when it matters. that's reason enough to run it over shadow refuge.

Seriously, an AB build with no KD or snare (Dash is not an acceptable anti-kite), and no worthful self heals; WoP and SR at 3 SA? You're kidding me. WoP might be good if you popped in Critical Strike or (dare I say it...) Malicious Strike, but in it's current state, attacking just after using Feigned Neutrality would yeild approximately the same results.
And Moriz, Shadow Refuge, if used properly (though somewhat hard to get the results), can heal for a good deal of health. Even outside of battle, it's not bad, as 6 seconds of 8 regen is 96 health. As for worst self-heals in the game, I'd have to go with Heal Other (), or Death's Charge.

as opposed to 16 health per critical? i think i'll go with vigorous spirit.
as for shadow refuge, it is terrible purely because restful breeze is so good. there's no point shooting yourself in the foot by using an inferior heal.
and keep in mind: he's running it at shadow arts = 3.

Where did I say Vig. Spirit was better than WoP? At 3 SA, they both suck. Though at 8+ SA on an MBlossom with Crit Strike, you can get the equivalent of about 20 health per second, or 10 regen, which is the same as Mystic Regen, and everyone's always drooling over it in MBlossom builds.
While SR might not be quite as powerful as Restful Breeze (though in my opinion, it's better because of the large burst heal at the end if conditions are met, but with 3 SA, like said before, they both suck), I was just saying that it's not the worst self-heal in the game. Also, RB locks in your secondary, which could be used otherwise for Conjures, Death Pact Signet, /W IAS, etc.
And if you're gonna run a third attribute, at least use a 11-10-10, 12-10-8 (this one preferred for 'Sins), or 12-11-6 spread. 3 in an attribute is generally pretty pointless.

Better question: why not just fix the attributes?
Critical Strikes: 13 (12+1)
Dagger Mastery: 13 (11+1+1)
Shadow Arts/Healing Prayers: 6
That works out a hell of a lot better. Yes, you'll have extra points left over, but 3 points in any healing attribute (IMO) is barely worth the effort. This way, you'll get some decent healing whether you use Shadow Refuge or whether you use Restful Breeze.
For what it's worth (not very much, obviously), I think the increased duration of Shadow Refuge and some 20% daggers make it not that bad.
Edit: Jaigoda's post wasn't up there when I loaded this page and I didn't refresh, but what the hell. It's still a valid point.

restful breeze can now be maintained indefinately even at 0 healing. at 3 healing, it's duration is around 11 seconds. 11 seconds of +10 hp regen is 220 hp for 5 energy and 8 recharge. kinda hard to pass it up. this way, having more dagger mastery gives more damage, and you don't lose out on self heal.

Shadow Refuge at 9 (8+1) Shadow Arts heals for 152 if conditions are met. Yeah, that's 50 less than RB (it's 10 secs, not 11), but RB will end if you use a skill or attack. This means that besides kiting, you're stuck doing absolutely nothing for 10 seconds.At least with Shadow Refuge you can use speed buffs like Dash, or just continue attacking. And like I said before, it's in your primary, so your secondary profession is open.
But anyway, let's get back on topic here. No need to make this a SR-RB debate.

If its for AB, just run a major dagger rune.
Ya, for normal pvp you may want some Minors.
but for AB just get the major, then lower your stuff to 13.
put the rest of points in Shadow and get 8 or Healing and get 8.
Also if you want to cap in AB.
The warrior shrine is a cake walk with
Locust fury,Flurry, Vigorous Spirit, live vicariously, and Critical defenses =P
Then you just add a cheap L-O-D combo for some additional damage as you cap.
Something like GFS,Wild,DB.
Note this is just for capping =P Don't kill me!

Yup, I'm the Assamaster. Though I gotta say I'm more PvE-based, with little PvP outside of RA, TA, and the very occasional AB, though I usually actually play RA/TA with monk, and AB with necro (MM's and SS's ftw!).
